Message from the GM
It's hard to believe the holiday season is upon us and a new year is around the corner. The Management Team has been focused on preparing the next fiscal year budget and has been working with the finance committee weekly to review the draft, make changes and ask questions. Once the review of the committee takes place, the draft will be sent out to the membership for comment, before it is reviewed and approved by the Board at their January meeting.
In addition to the budget, we have also been working with the Strategic Planning Committee to create a Strategic Plan for the Harbour for the next 5 years. The Dredging Committee has been working hard to coordinate with various entities in an effort to conduct our next dredging of Aquia Creek. With that, a survey of the whole waterway will take place in the next few weeks.
Asphalt work, to include milling and paving of several roads as well as repairs to the golf cart path concluded last month and the results look great! The docks at the marina were cleaned and they almost look new! Updates to several parks and courts have also taken place.
As we near the end of this year, I hope we are all able to reflect on the wonderful memories and the positive moments we've shared over the last year, especially with the great losses we've endured this last Fall.
