Continuing the Climb Job and Resource Fair
In partnership with, City of Fort Worth, Cornerstone Assistance Network, Envision Center, Goodwill North Central Texas, Redemption Bridge, Reentry First Stop Center for Tarrant County, Tarrant County, Unlocking Doors and Workforce Solutions for Tarrant County, we will be hosting a job and resource fair. The focus will primarily be on employment opportunities for individuals with challenged backgrounds.
Meet with 50+ Re-Entry and Veteran-friendly area employers looking to fill employment vacancies. Computers will be made available for online application submissions. Organizations will also be on site to connect attendees with programs and services such as clothing, education, financial literacy, health, job search tips and training opportunities, legal services, rental assistance, shelter, transportation, utility assistance and more.

| | An award that recognizes community-based organization health care contacts and partnerships that have improved social connection for older adults, people with disabilities, and their caregivers. Eligible applicants include Area Agencies on Aging, Centers for Independent Living, Community Care Hubs, faith-based organizations, and nonprofit or government-based aging and disability services providers. Award: Up to $5,000. Geographic Scope: Nationwide. | | Grants in support of nonprofit projects and programs with the potential to significantly enhance the quality of life of children. Funding falls into three categories: Parenting Education; Early Childhood Welfare; and Early Childhood Education and Play. Award: $40,000+. Geographic Scope: Nationwide. | | Supports organizations that have the support of the local Tyson plant facility to approach and solve community issues. Areas of interest include food access and nutrition. Priority consideration is given to organizations that operate in underserved communities and rural areas. Award: $5,000 - $50,000. Geographic Scope: Texas communities include Amarillo, Carthage, Center, Dallas, Fort Worth, Haltom City, Houston, North Richland Hills, Seguin, Sherman, and Vernon. | | Supported efforts include food pantry remodels; community garden creation; building repairs and renovations; and animal shelter upgrades. The program also supports capacity-building programs that will make a lasting impact on organizations and communities. Eligible applicants include nonprofits and government entities. Award: $10,000. Geographic Scope: Nationwide. | | The Foundation's areas of interest include economic stability and mobility, including hunger, homelessness, and poverty; workforce development; health and social services; and disaster relief. Award: Grant sizes vary depending on the need and available funding. Geographic Scope: Communities where the company has a business presence. | | Support for nonprofits engaged in healthcare access; food security; housing support; and economic empowerment. Award: Up to $250,000. Geographic Scope: Sixteen (16) States, including Texas. | | Public Funding Announcements | | The AEL Healthcare Initiative for ITPs aims to develop and disseminate effective models that expand Texas's ability to provide quality career pathway services for ELLs who are ITPs with healthcare-related degrees. Award: $500,000. Geographic Scope: Texas. | | HHS0015867. Grants to assist certain General Residential Operations with costs of obtaining or maintaining Accreditation that complies with The Family First Prevention Services Act. Award: Multiple awards of up to $100,000. Geographic Scope: Texas. | | HHS0015831. The SNAP-Ed vision is to educate, connect, and support individuals as they attempt to live healthier lives on a budget through Direct Education, targeted Social Marketing efforts, environmental strategies to encourage healthy food selection, and the use of technology to reach people and communities. The program partners with state and local organizations to meet individuals where they are in their journey toward healthier nutrition. Award: Multiple awards of up to $24,923,717 per Federal Fiscal Year. Geographic Scope: Texas. | |
