Institute Honored by the American Repertory Ballet for Support During the Pandemic

COVID-19 testing and vaccination clinics at the New Brunswick Performing Arts Center, where the ballet is a member company, are open to the public as part of Rutgers Global Health Institute’s Equitable Recovery program. On March 12, the institute was recognized for its role in helping the ballet’s dancers and dance students safely return to the studio and the stage.

Botswana Cancer Initiative Leader Discusses Parallels with AIDS and Progress on Oncology Workforce Training 

Refeletswe Lebelonyane is a physician, public health professional, and program manager for the Botswana-Rutgers Partnership for Health. She provides updates on cancer care and prevention efforts in Botswana and reflects on her past experiences confronting HIV/AIDS in the African country.

CEVS bring researchers together with patients, community members, and health care stakeholders to actively participate in cross-talk. Funding Opportunities
Health Workforce Research Center Cooperative Agreement Program

The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) released this new Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) announcement in support of the Health Workforce Research Center (HWRC) Cooperative Agreement Program. The purpose of the HWRC Cooperative Agreement Program is to support and disseminate rigorous and state-of-the-art applied research that strengthens evidence-based policy and enhances the Federal Government’s and the public’s understanding of issues and trends in the health workforce. 

Application deadline is April 14th.

Community Resources
New Jersey COVID-19 Information Hub: The State of New Jersey has put together a list of resources about the COVID-19 virus including testing sites, signs and symptoms, and FAQs about social services. 

You can find community-based and local COVID-19 testing site locations and hours here.

Middlesex County residents can register for a free COVID-19 test at sites throughout the county. Appointments required. The sites provide saliva-based test kits developed at Rutgers University.

Visit New Jersey’s COVID-19 Vaccine Registration site to pre-register for the vaccine. New Jersey's Covid-19 Vaccine Appointment Call Center can be reached at 855-568-0545.
