Street Parking
It's that time of year where complaints roll in about parking in front of other's homes, as well as, blocking corners creating a hazard at stop signs and yields. The streets are public, so technically, you can park on them legally, if within the bounds of the Transportation Code. However, we want to maintain a good relationship with our neighbors. Please be mindful of where you park. Utilize parking at your home. Every home has 2 garage parking spaces and two driveway parking spaces. You shouldn't need to park on the street in most cases.
Note from Kristal: Using your garage as storage? Do a quick comparison of value on the things vs your vehicle. Your vehicle is best protected inside and most likely is worth more than those boxes you haven't opened in a few years. ;) That was the motivation to help me clear out unneeded things.
While street parking is legal in the city of Hutto, the city has designated fire lanes throughout the community. Do no park in fire lanes, as you can be towed at your expense. Emory Crossing has Triton Towing, but the police department will also tow.
Street parking makes our already narrow roads more dangerous. Please consider not street parking.
