Events

All Emory Crossing events held at the Amenity Center are for residents only unless otherwise stated. Registration links will be included in this year's community events. Please register so we can plan accordingly.

The map link will be emailed on Monday. You can share this map on your social media. Unfortunately, at this time, we only have two homes signed up.

Those with alleyways, please have your garage sale in the front yard, as parking in the alley is not permitted. Let's keep our alleyways safe.

Volunteer and Committee Opportunities are coming soon!

If you want to help with events or around the Amenities, please reach out! As soon as the charter is finalized, another email will be sent out, but a personal invite will be sent to you.

Remember, this is for your household only. Please do not invite others from outside the community, as our assessments pay for our social event budget.

Save the dates!

Earth Day is April 22nd. The Association is planning a Butterfly Garden Event with Sunscape Landscaping from 5-6:30pm.

There will be a community event on May 1st from 3-5pm to celebrate the new pool season. See all the fun pool updates below.

Community Info

Wasp Season

Please report any active nests to the office. Wasps were treated this morning. However, most nests were very tiny, so it is possible some were missed.

Pest control is monthly, however the office tries to stay on top of any nests between visits.

Please email or text pictures with a location.

Amenity Access

Check that your access is up-to-date. There was an update last year that messed up some user's access. Test the app on the pavilion restrooms.

If you have never had access, got a new phone, or are having other issues with your current access, please submit a request HERE.

Pool Updates

Exciting things are happening at the pool during the off-season!

The Association had ADA Handrails installed on both sets of stairs this week.

Pool furniture has been ordered and will be on the pool deck soon.

Gate alarms have been installed. There is also live monitoring of the cameras. This should support a safer pool area. No more propping the gates or fence jumpers. An announcement is made over a loud speaker for those entering the pool without using the main fob-access only gate.

Coming soon - new shade structures near the back of the pool. We are also working on making some deck repairs from the snow/ice storm.

Here's a reminder of the pool rules. Pool season opens May 1st!

Spring is Coming!

The weeds are getting out of control in the residential yards. Treat these ASAP with a post-emergent or pull them. Help keep Emory Crossing looking sharp - take care of your property. If you lack equipment, check with the City's loan program. Information is below.

Our landscaper has provided a guide to help you plan when you need to tackle certain tasks.

See last year's newsletter for relevant tips.

Native Milkweed

Pflugerville HEBs should have them beginning March 21st, per the Monarch Sanctuary Project. Hutto may have them around that time, too.

Do not plant Tropical Milkweed. This is junk food for the monarchs and does not allow them to properly migrate. Let's save the monarchs and only plant native!

Landscaping Tips & Tricks

Weeds in the Rocks & Yard - Spray a post emergent &/or pull these weeds and grasses out of the rocks.

Aster Weed - Pull this weed before it gets out of control.

Nutsedge Weed - Treat with SedgeHammer. Do not pull. It will spread.

Tree Pruning - All trees should be worked up to a 6-8' canopy base as the tree matures. If the tree is along a sidewalk, they need to be pruned up to 14'.

Fence Stain - Approved color is Wood Defender, Color: 200 Series, Semi-Transparent Sierra.

Dead Trees - Must be replaced with the same species, unless otherwise approved.

Trash/Recycling Bins - Store them out of view when it is not trash day. If you have an alley, you may store them on the driveway near the garage door.

Parking - Commercial vehicles are prohibited. Registration must be showing at all time. No car covers or expired registration is permitted. Do not park in fire lanes at any time.

Alleyways continue to be an issue. Do not drive against traffic.

This is a handy little tool for pulling weeds. It is only about $5-10 at our local hardware stores. Wet the lawn, gentle press tool vertically next to the weed, loosen the dirt, then you should be able to remove the weed - root and all - by tilting the tool towards the weed.

SedgeHammer is for nutsedge - a weed you should not pull. The nut stays in the ground and makes this weed spread. This is a selective herbicide, so it won't harm your healthy sod near by.

BUURT - Your New Resident Portal

To make managing your association account simpler and more convenient, we recently introduced BUURT, our new resident portal, which is your one-stop shop where you can pay assessments, review your account details, and stay informed about your community.

With secure single sign-on, you no longer need to visit multiple websites or keep track of multiple passwords. Once you’re logged in, you can easily:

  • Make payments directly through Western Alliance Bank (also known as Alliance Association Bank or AAB)
  • View your account balance and transaction history
  • Review your property's open compliance
  • Access important association documents

We’re excited to share that almost 100 residents have already logged in and explored the new system! While you can continue to use your previous payment methods for your assessments, we encourage you to take advantage of the new system for all digital payments.
