Professional Development Day for Teachers
7th-8th Grade Pooled COVID-19 Testing
To support our efforts to maintain a healthy and safe learning environment, we are happy to announce that Brunswick School Department has partnered with Concentric by Ginkgo to expand Pooled COVID-19 Testing to grades 7-8. This testing is optional and free. The program may expand to other grade levels and/or co-curricular groups in the future.

Staff consent requires creating a free account with Concentric by Ginkgo.

Only students and staff with completed consent forms are able to participate in testing. If you do not want yourself or your family to participate, do not fill out a form. We hope to begin testing on November 9.  
Support Dog at Brunswick Junior High School
New support dog at Brunswick school aims to break down barriers,
ease student stress.

Desi, a 3-year-old black lab, was introduced to Brunswick Junior High School around the start of the school year in a collaboration between the school and local police department.

Laurie Agaran
Ed Tech III, Brunswick High School

Laurie grew up in Kalihi which is located in the state of Hawaii! She has four children; an 18 year old son, 16 year old daughter, 4 year old daughter and a 3 year old son. She graduated college from the University of Maine at Augusta.

What makes you proud to work in Brunswick?
The community and the staff.

What do you like to do outside of work for fun?
Hangout at the ocean.

A sponge like sea plant is a type of coral (learned it on Mr. McCallough's class field trip to Reid State Park).

Substitute Teacher Rate of Pay:
  • Short Term Teachers (1-9 days in same assignment): $105/day
  • Long Term Teachers (on 10th day of same assignment OR on first day if expressly hired as a long term sub): $150/day
  • Per Diem Ed Techs: $95/day
  • Per Diem Resource Assistants: $95/day
  • Nurses: $150/day
  • Secretaries/Support Staff: Varies dependent upon position
  • Unassigned Teacher: (floating sub, etc.): $105/day
