Wolverine Pipe Line Company Awarded as the United Way Small Corporate Champion of the Year

Wolverine Pipe Line Company is honored to be awarded a the 2021 Small Corporate Champion of the year by the United Way of Southwest Michigan.

This award exemplifies Wolverine employees’ devotion to giving, advocating, and volunteering. This honor is only presented to small businesses and is entirely thanks to our team’s hard work and dedication throughout the year!

Wolverine Pipe Line Company Performs Emergency Response Drill in Vandalia, MI at Christiana Creek in Milo Barnes Park

Wolverine Pipe Line Company conducted a simulated emergency response drill at Christiana Creek at Milo Barnes Park in Vandalia the morning of May 26, 2022. The drill was conducted as part of Wolverine’s annual emergency response preparedness training.

Wolverine deployed a containment boom in the creek to simulate product control and recovery methods that may be used in the rare occurrence of an actual release on the creek. These spill response drills are part of Wolverine’s annual emergency response preparedness training.

Emergency Responders: Register Today for Virtual Pipeline Safety Training with Wolverine

This year, Wolverine Pipe Line Company (Wolverine) will be hosting virtual training meetings for emergency personnel in Illinois, Indiana, and Michigan. Area emergency responders are invited to participate in these virtual training sessions for a pipeline safety refresher training and table-top drill. Wolverine recognizes that it takes a partnership to keep the communities where we live and work safe, and part of that partnership is our responsibility to educate those in the first line of response on pipeline safety protocol. Our goal with the training is to make connections with emergency responders while providing an opportunity to work through a scenario-based pipeline emergency exercise.

PIPE Program

Wolverine's community outreach program is called the Partners in Pipeline Education or PIPE. Through the PIPE Program, we make personal connections to the local Fire Departments, Police Departments, Emergency Management Personnel, Government Officials and other stakeholders with whom we work with for normal operation and maintenance activities and in case of an actual emergency. We are currently scheduling virtual and in-person PIPE Presentations for the remaining calendar year. If interested in participating in this program, click here to contact Chelsea Yi.

Wolverine Pipe Line Company is a fuel transportation company headquartered in Portage, Michigan. Wolverine operates ~700 miles of active pipeline transporting refined petroleum products from refineries in the Chicago area to the Illinois, Indiana, and Michigan markets. Wolverine transports approximately 30% of all gasoline and diesel fuel used in Michigan.
