CPF Welcomes Kelly A. Brock as New Executive Director  The Community Pharmacy Foundation (CPF) is pleased to announce Kelly A. Brock, PharmD, RPh as its new Executive Director. Prior to accepting this position, Kelly served as a consultant dedicated to advancing the profession of pharmacy and maximizing the role of pharmacists in the healthcare system. Kelly has worked with community pharmacists across the country to explore innovative ways to drive change and transform how care is delivered in the community pharmacy setting. She has experience working with thought leaders from a variety of disciplines, key stakeholders within communities and organizations, educators, researchers, and professional associations. Kelly has a strong passion for community pharmacy practice and brings tremendous enthusiasm and professional experience to this position. Read More

Grantee Melissa McGivney, PharmD, FCCP, FAPhA, Professor and Associate Dean for Community Partnerships, University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy delivered the APHA Foundation Pinnacle Award Innovations in Pharmacy Practice Lecture.

NCPA 2021 Annual Convention

The NCPA Annual Convention will take place October 9-12, 2021 in Charlotte, NC. CPF grantees, staff and board members will be in attendance to participate and present in education and business sessions during the meeting. Additionally, CPF is proud to recognize the Flip the Pharmacy Year 2 award recipients at the awards ceremony on October 11, 2021. We hope to see you there!

CPF has joined the RAPID Alliance Medications 360 Study at the National Science Foundation Center for Health Organization Transformation at the University of Louisville as a Founding Funding Partner.

The RAPID Alliance is a consortium of leading research universities and colleges of pharmacy in the US, working in collaboration with leading organizations, associations, government agencies, innovators, foundations and others, to address non-optimized use of medications and vaccines from 2022 - 2031.

Pharmacy Contributions to Addressing COVID-19 Vaccine ConfidenceGrant Details

This project addresses vaccine hesitancy and builds consumer confidence using CDC-tested messages adapted to the voice of the pharmacist. The profession- wide public awareness campaign (Pharmacists for Healthier Lives) serves as the media platform for the confidence campaign which is also supported through a subcontract from APhA as part of a CDC vaccine messaging contract.
