You’ll see their specialized equipment and learn about the important training that makes them our community's essential “first responders.” Don’t miss it!

Herndon High School Student Athletes Recognized by Town Council

Herndon High School student athletes

Julys Town Council meeting featured some special guests: student-athletes from Herndon High’s track and boys’ soccer teams. Both teams just finished phenomenal seasons with a great showing at the New Balance Nationals by the Hornets on the track, and their first soccer state championship since 1986 on the pitch.

Celebrating Disability Pride Month

The Herndon Town Council officially proclaimed July 2025 as Disability Pride Month in the Town of Herndon to honor the achievements, leadership, and daily contributions of individuals with disabilities.

Observed each July, Disability Pride Month commemorates the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) in July 1990, a landmark moment in the fight for equity and access.

More than 70 million Americans live with a disability. In Herndon, we are committed to ensuring that every resident, regardless of ability, can live, work, and thrive with dignity. We proudly support the advocates, caregivers, and organizations working to build a more inclusive and accessible future.
