All Saints' Episcopal Church Newsletter
September 12, 2021
Our Vision: A community living and growing in unity with God and all people through Christ.

Our Mission: To seek God in reverent worship, service to neighbors, gracious hospitality, and the pursuit of wisdom.

Trouble Finding Our Services Online?

Join us online Sundays at 10:30 am for Holy Eucharist and Wednesdays at 6 pm for Evening Prayer. Each service will be streamed or uploaded to our YouTube page. A link to the Sunday morning service will also be posted to our Facebook page and website each week before the service begins.

Be sure to Subscribe to our YouTube page!
Sunday Worship

Both 8 am and 10:30 am Sunday services will be held indoors for now. Following CDC guidelines, we continue to wear masks and to practice social-distancing. We are also going to offer the service streaming during our 10:30 am service from our Conference Room and Shoemaker Hall televisions if the Sanctuary is too uncomfortable.

Wednesday Worship

Evening Prayer is held on Wednesdays at 6 pm, now both in-person and uploaded by 8 pm to Facebook and YouTube.
Interested in Formally Joining the Episcopal Church?

The Bishop will make his annual visit to All Saints’ on Sunday, October 10th. If you are currently a member of another denomination and would like to be confirmed or received into the Episcopal Church, please contact Rev. Teri at RevTeriDaily@gmail.com.
Ministry Teams Are Returning!

The Ministry Teams model is one way to organize our different ministries on Sunday mornings. Basically, a team of individuals is assigned to "host worship" each Sunday of the month (for example, a first Sunday team, second Sunday team, etc.). Members of that team will serve as Greeters, Readers, Oblationers (those who bring the bread and wine to the altar), Intercessors (those who lead the Prayers of the People), and Ushers. Training sessions to go over all these roles will be scheduled in the near future. Everyone in the church is encouraged and invited to participate in one of these training sessions to both find their ministry and/or refresh their training. Beginning this Sunday, a sign-up sheet will be located in the lobby of All Saints’ for those planning to participate on a ministry team to sign up. (Please sign up again even if you have been on a team in the past.) Contact Rev. Teri at RevTeriDaily@gmail.com with questions.
SafeZone Training

SafeZone training is coming to All Saints’ on Saturday, October 16th, from 2-5 pm. SafeZone training is for those who wish to learn more about LGBTQ+ identities and vocabulary, sexuality and gender, and issues of privilege and prejudice – all in order to make All Saints’ a safe and inclusive space for those who are LGBTQ+. Emma Daily, a trained and experienced SafeZone facilitator, will lead our time together. Registration is limited to 25. Any spaces remaining after September 30th will be open to interested persons outside the All Saints’ community. Register by emailing Teri at RevTeriDaily@gmail.com.
September 11 Service of Remembrance

All Saints' Episcopal Church will hold a prayer service of remembrance on Saturday September 11 outside in our Chevaillier Chapel at 8:30 a.m. This marks 20 years since that fateful morning.

All are welcome to enter the park and quietly reflect until the service begins. The names of those who lost their lives on that day will be on our altar. We will also pray for all the lives lost since, during the war and the civilian casualties in the Middle East.

Eucharist will not be offered. But after the service, if you would like to quietly reflect in the park or walk our Labyrinth that space will be available.

Masks are encouraged if you cannot be socially distant. Please feel free to spread out on our benches or bring a chair. We will have a microphone and speaker set up for all to be able to hear.

Any questions please contact Melissa Simpson.
All Saints' on YouTube

With the fall weather on the horizon, we would like to broadcast our 10:30 am service outside but we need your help. We need 1000 subscribers to our channel in order to live-stream the service using a phone, DSLR camera, or iPad. We currently have 669 subscribers.

Please if you haven't already click subscribe to our YouTube channel. Then share this information with family and friends so they can also subscribe.

Thank you all!

Rally Day

Rally Day this year will be postponed until the Fall, when we can hopefully gather safely outside for a Fall picnic. In the meantime, please be watching your inboxes as we will send out a Rally Day newsletter this week detailing all the Christian Formation and groups we have to offer at All Saints'.

Peace Prayer Video

From Melissa Simpson:

"I would like to create a video for our YouTube landing page and website reciting the Saint Francis Prayer. My idea is to have at least 12 people/families read a line and make a video. If you would be interested in this project, please text me/call me/whatever you'd like to do to get in touch with me.

I can record here at the church or you can send me a video that I can edit.
It think it would be lovely for visitors to be welcomed to our church with that prayer when they find us online. Plus we're coming up on his feast day on October 4."
Kid's Chapel

This Sunday, September 12, there will be little bags available for the kids with battery powered candles, a cross they can decorate and the two prayers we say during Kid's Chapel they can color at home, plus a small treat.

You can find Kid's Chapel online on YouTube here every Sunday at 9am.

When Covid-19 numbers are better we will let parents know when this program will resume to in person on Sundays.
Faith and Scripture Returns to In Person Meeting at 9am

All Saints’ Faith and Scripture Bible Study will meet beginning on September 12, at 9:00 a. m., in the classroom 7 and 8 across from the office. In our past seasons, we have studied The Gospel according to LukeActs, Revelation, and Isaiah. Some possibilities for this year include Ecclesiastes, Proverbs, and The First Book of Kings. Discussion leaders will include Dr. Mary Gunter, Ms. Elaine Tise, and Stanley Lombardo (the author, not the translator). Come and join us for our study and discussion of the Holy Scriptures. Selah.
Faith & Reason Sundays at 9 am

The Faith & Reason class will meet for Christian Formation this Sunday at 9 am. Given the high Covid numbers, most members of the class are meeting via Zoom. However, we will also broadcast the class on the TV in the conference room at All Saints'. Masks will be available for those who participate at All Saints'.

Neighbors Table Weekly Update

Neighbors Table
Last week we served 155 meals: 88 to our drive-thru families and the rest to our delivery and pick up families.

This ministry continues in its 10th year because of the generosity of all those who contribute time, treasure, and talent. Thank you!! Our menu this week is still being planned. Our dedicated cooking team is sure to provide a delicious and healthy meal.

If you’d like to help for about 2 hours on Friday afternoon or Saturday morning, please take a look at the whiteboards in Sutherland and sign up for a day and job. All volunteers must be fully vaccinated and wear masks; we still follow safety precautions from start to finish. Questions? Text or call Charlie at 479-857-0480 or Catherine at 479-264-4346.

Practicing Prayer

This week we’ll meet via Zoom at 5:00, begin with silent prayer as always, and then continue to discuss Chapter 11, “Stage 1: The Proto-Trinity,” in The Holy Trinity and the Law of Three, by Cynthia Bourgeault.
All are welcome!

Please celebrate the following birthdays this week with us: Beth Franks.

O God, our times are in your hand: Look with favor, we pray, on
your servants as they begin another year. Grant that they may grow
in wisdom and grace, and strengthen their trust in your goodness
all the days of their lives; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

For those celebrating an anniversary this week: Ken and Karen Futterrer.

O gracious and everliving God, look mercifully upon your servants who come to renew the promises they have made to each other. Grant them your blessing, and assist them with your grace, that with true fidelity and steadfast love they may honor and keep their promises and vows; through Jesus Christ our Savior, who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Please let the office know if your birthday or anniversary has been missed, so that we may add the date to our records.
