In Ian's Boots
Shoe Drive
Feb. 21 - Mar. 7

Check your closets! Caring Hands will be collecting new and gently used shoes, boots and sneakers for In Ian's Boots, a charity run by a local family in Pottstown.

Collection bins will be out at GVCO, 51 N. Bacton Hill Rd., Malvern, Great Valley Middle School and Great Valley High School.
Book Drives

Caring Hands will be collecting all types of books in good condition to assist Books 4 Cause and their African Library Project or Bernies Book Bank.

Help promote literacy, education and book ownership. More details are coming in early March.
When the norm is decency, other virtues can thrive: integrity, honesty, compassion, kindness, and trust.
Challenger Gym

Volunteers in grades 9-12 will be needed for Challenger Gym starting March 16th. Challenger Gym is a community gym program for GVSD kids with physical and/or other special challenges. The emphasis is on having fun physical activities.

  • Volunteers are expected to try to attend most if not all of the sessions.
  • Dates are March 16, 23, 30, April 6, 20 and 27th.

During the weekends of March 19th and 26th, we will be assisting Good Works of Chester County. This organization provides home repair for low-income families. Additional details are coming.
The Charlotte Grace Fund provides financial assistance to families that are battling cancer.

Steps4 Hope 5k/1 Mile Walk - Oct. 9th 9AM

Join us at Great Valley High School on Sunday, October 9, 2022, at 9:00 am. This timed race, held in loving memory of Jonathan Moules, is dedicated to promoting awareness and prevention of Substance Use Disorders.

Race Registration is open.

Proceeds from the race will help us continue to assist essential local programs, awareness and educational events, grief support and provide much needed resources for those in early recovery. Please view our webpage at www.steps4hope.org for more information about our non-profit foundation.
High School Internships

GVCO employs several high school - juniors or seniors - interns to assist with programming and administrative responsibilities. Internship will last throughout the ‘school year'. Hours would be after school, 3pm and 5pm Mondays through Fridays. 2 to 5 hours per week. GVCO will work with you to create flexible scheduling.

Siddhant Suresh Scholarship Fund

The Suresh family started this scholarship in the name of their late son specifically to allow everyone the opportunity to participate in GVCO programs.

GVCO Partners

GVCO will continue to partner with Cradles to Crayons, Brandywine Valley SPCA, Devereux and Home of the Sparrow through donation drives and outreach programs.

Brandywine Valley SPCA will be hosting several "Critter Camps" this Spring and Summer. Campers aged 7-12 will learn special animal care skills, engage in creative and educational activities and meet many animals. Registration is open.

GVCO continues to partner with Be a Part of the Conversation and supports their mission: equiping families and communities in Pennsylvania with skills and resources to understand substance use, addiction, and related health issues.
