211 Nebraska Warmline

The Warmline aims to make sure all Nebraskans—no matter where they live or their situation—can quickly get help and be connected to local resources that support their safety, stability, and overall well-being.

The Warmline acts as an early support resource for families, caregivers, and community members who need assistance but are not dealing with situations involving abuse, neglect, or maltreatment. It provides help for those facing temporary challenges or emerging concerns, linking them with prevention services and local resources that can support stability and long-term well-being.

Here’s more information on where we, as a state, are with the development and roll out of the warmline.

Leadership and Engagement Opportunities

Launched in June 2025, the Bring Up Nebraska Leadership & Engagement Opportunities Dashboard links youth, parents, and caregivers with opportunities to develop skills, build relationships, and take part in shared leadership throughout the state. You may be surprised to learn that there’s a plethora of opportunities across the state to grow leadership skills for youth, parents, and caregivers. Check out this link to learn more about the opportunities.

We had an amazing Week of the Young Child, with events in both Schuyler at the theater and on the third floor of the Columbus Community Building for three nights of food, fun and family time.

It was a week of celebrating kids and our talented Rooted in Relationships Providers sharing their gifts with the community.

A special thank you to all Early Childhood Providers for the work that you do for our future!

We shared information about our new community book that will be coming out this Fall. See the flier below for information on how to have your child in the book. We encourage everyone in the community to participate and help us support our local businesses in the process, as you enjoy an outing with your family.

PIWI is wrapping up this month. We had five families who really bonded and enjoyed their children playing together each week. We learned about sensory bins this month, adventured outdoors, had fun with music and ended with a night on bringing stories to life.

Food Access Resources

One word that we like to use to describe ourselves is "connectors." We connect people to resources, to help, to others that can help. With the rising food insecurity needs, a food matrix was created that has resources, as well as information regarding 2-1-1 and Find Help to connect participants to the resources they need. Please find these items below.
