Findhelp – The Benefits of Claiming Your Program

If you were part of the August collaborative meeting you heard about Find Help which included how to claim your program. For those that couldn’t join and for those that like refreshers, here’s how to claim your program in the referral platform of Find Help.

When you claim your program, you take ownership of it and then have access to program management tools – all of which are free. When you claim your program, you allow your organization to:

  • Have your program appear higher in search results – free marketing!
  • Update your program listing
  • Set up your team management
  • Gain access to free features like intake tools, data collection forms, and program analytics to measure your impact

Creating an account and logging in is ideal. When you set up an account you will want to use your work email address rather than your personal one. Once logged in, you’ll see the section of my program tools – your suite of tools – available to you.

Instead of logging in, you can also go to https://www.findhelp.org/

Scroll to the footer of the page and click on Claim Programs. It will look like this

A new page will come up. Below this question What program or agency do you work for? insert the program you work with.  Including a ZIP code is optional. Click on the Get Started button.

Possible matches will be pulled up on the next screen. Click on the Claim button for those Program Names that come up that are linked to your Agency/Provider Name. Follow the prompts. Select the Program Names you want to claim and click on the “I Work Here!” button.

Claiming takes only a minute to do and gives you free access to edit your information, manage referrals, screen applicants, see personalized analytics, and more!

Community Health Improvement Plan –

Food Access Updates from

January 2026 to Present

There have been some amazing accomplishments to celebrate in the work that is being done to increase food access in our community.

  • Schools were surveyed throughout the service region regarding food access programs, including free and reduced lunch prices, summer meal programs, weekend backpack programs, and other food access resources. 21 schools responded to the survey. These results were used to educate schools regarding available food access programming.

  •  1,400 food boxes have been provided to seniors age 60+ since January 2026, addressing an identified gap in food access.

  • Provided 1,976 TANF food boxes through a collaboration with Catholic Charities and Harrah’s, serving approximately 8,500 individuals.

  • Nine fresh produce (food rescue) distributions have been held to date serving over 2,900 individuals. This program is 100% volunteer-led!

Some of the challenges with food access are funding and resources, school engagement, additional food producers, and volunteers.

  • Food access needs continue to grow, while the cost of providing food and sustaining these programs remain a barrier.

  • School engagement is necessary to create meaningful impact and change related to school-based food access.

  • More producers are needed to provide donated items for the food rescue program to sustain its growth.

  • Additional volunteers are needed to support current food access efforts and allow future program expansion.

Thanks to all the organizations and programs involved in the food access work. It takes all of us working together to make this work happen.

Feedback Wanted to Help Improve Literacy in Nebraska

The Midwest Literacy Collective, a new statewide literacy hub, is seeking feedback through a statewide survey to better understand literacy efforts across Nebraska.

The MLC is dedicated to improving literacy for learners of all ages, from birth through adulthood. This survey will help identify what is happening across the state to support literacy, including the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.

Your input will help shape the Midwest Literacy Collective's future strategies and initiatives. The survey is available in both English and Spanish, and responses will be accepted through August 31, 2026.
