In partnership,

Bronx Borough President Vanessa L. Gibson

The recent string of violence in the Bronx has been truly heartbreaking. We must do more to preserve peace and life in our Borough.

IN THE COMMUNITY

We celebrated Mexican Independence Day with the first-ever Mexican flag raising at Bronx Borough Hall! We are grateful to the Mexican community for their contributions to our Borough and we stand with them in celebration of Mexican Independence!

We had a blast during the African American Day Parade in Harlem!

It was wonderful to see so many Bronxites and others joining together to celebrate our African American community in New York City.

See you all next year!

Thank you to the Throggs Neck BID, the Chamber of Commerce and all the other stakeholders for your commitment to providing transportation access for residents. It is a special honor to see the new shuttle dedicated to Joseph Kelleher, longtime business leader in our Borough. This shuttle was Joseph’s vision and I’m thankful to see his vision come to fruition.

The free 20-passenger wheelchair-accessible bus will have 10 stops, with seven along East Tremont Avenue connecting Throggs Neck with the Westchester Square subway stop, two along the Hutchinson River Parkway and another at Ferry Point Park!

This is a huge win for the East Bronx which has been a transportation desert for far too long.
