The DOS Student Outreach and Support Team provides direct support to students who are going through challenges and works to ensure students receive coordinated support. DOS also responds to concerns about other students.

Students who are worried about a friend are encouraged to refer to the Student of Concern Reporting Form.

Anyone experiencing safety concerns is encouraged to reach out to BCPD at 617-552-4444. They are available 24-7 to assist with urgent needs. BCPD can also connect students to a member of the Residential Life on-call team or the psychological emergency clinician (PEC).

If a federal or state law enforcement agent or other government official comes to campus seeking information about a student, employee, or the University, or requesting access to a non-public space on campus (a residence hall, classroom, laboratory, or personal office for example), contact the Boston College Chief of Police (617-552-4444) or the Office of the General Counsel (617-552-0960) immediately. Do not provide information or access until you have conferred with one or both of these offices to ensure that the person has valid authority and the University responds appropriately. Calmly explain that you are checking with other University officials and ask the official to wait.

The Office of Global Engagement, along with its partner offices (the Office of Global Education and the OISS) promotes global cooperation and research, offers international programming and learning opportunities to all students and scholars, supports the international community on campus, and embraces transformative education through meaningful encounters. University Counseling Services

UCS offers a range of mental health support to students, including individual counseling, consultation, group therapy, and emergency services such as same-day appointments.

If there is an urgent clinical/personal crisis, students can come in on the same day to meet with the psychological emergency clinician (PEC). The PEC can be reached any time at 617-552–3310, extension 2.

University Health Services

The Health Center provides students access to board-certified physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, and on-site specialty consultants affiliated with some of Boston's finest hospitals. The center provides both inpatient and outpatient services, and guidance on Massachusetts' immunization requirements.

The Murray Center for Student Wellness takes a holistic and inclusive approach to health. They offer programs and individual coaching sessions to support wellness as an ongoing and personal journey, cultivated and sustained by a sense of belonging in the larger community.

Campus Ministry offers support to individuals from all religious traditions in their ongoing spiritual and religious growth. Multi-faith programs and services are also available.

Graduate Student Association and the Graduate International Student Association also organize programming on behalf of graduate students.

The BAIC is a place where culture is celebrated through meaningful dialogue, programming, and holistic support to ensure that all students thrive and feel a sense of community and belonging. Staff are available to meet with students and collaborate with student cultural clubs and organizations.

Residential Life has staff who live in the residence halls and are available to support residential students. Staff are also on-call at all hours to help any student address urgent needs they may have and connect them with other resources on campus. Resident Ministers serve as conversation partners and a pastoral presence for students and the residential staff in their community.

Off-campus Student Living works to improve the overall quality of the off-campus experience through education, outreach, and programming. They also provide resources for students in their off-campus housing search and guidance regarding tenant-landlord concerns.
