Community Change Committee Applications Open

Calling all change makers!

As we prepare for the next round of Upstream funding that will be launched in March 2024, we have opened applications for the Community Change Committee (CCC).

We are looking to create a committee that is diverse in age, ability, ethnicity and experience.

As a member of the CCC, you will have the opportunity to make an impact in the community and contribute to the Upstream process by allocating funding to local organizations.

If you or someone you know would like to apply to join the CCC you can find more information about the CCC role and timelines here.

Apply to be part of the 2024 Community Change Committee!

Applications for the CCC will close on Sunday, February 18 at 11:59pm.

We would be happy to answer any questions you may have. You can reach us at Upstream@regionofwaterloo.ca

New provision in Region’s Code of Use By-law

supports equitable services

The Region of Waterloo has another tool to support equitable services for all. The Region’s Code of Use By-law now includes a provision prohibiting harassment and bullying against an individual on Regional property.

Through this provision, Regional by-law and contracted security officers can issue a trespass notice or a charge to an individual who refuses to leave our property. In the coming weeks, signs will be posted on all main entrances to our buildings, as well as on public transit and public transit stops. The focus will be on education.
