SUMMER WRAP-UP

We had a fun filled summer and can’t wait until next year! Enjoy some of our favorite highlights!

Concerts and Movies in the Park

For seven weeks, thousands of community members were entertained on Thursday evenings at Red Hill Community Park grooving to music by 80z All Stars, Cold Duck, Anything for Salinas, and many more. Cousins Main Lobster Truck and Big Easy Sandwich Truck were on site to make sure attendees were never hungry.

Not only did thousands dance the night away at Concerts in the Park, but they also enjoyed Movies in the Park. Family-favorites such as Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Jumanji and The Addams Family were shown at Victoria Gardens Chaffey Town Square on Tuesday evenings and Red Hill Community Park on Friday evenings. Families were able to bring out their blankets, chairs, and picnic dinners for a free evening of entertainment with their loved ones!

4th of July Fireworks Spectacular

Kicking off our festivities in July was our annual 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular at Quakes Stadium. A crowd of over 4,600 enjoyed the band Soto, participated in carnival games and witnessed a firework show to remember!

Special thanks to our event sponsor, Hamilton Family Brewery, for supporting one of the most amazing community events Rancho Cucamonga has to offer!

Backpack Giveaway

With the new school year upon us, the Community Services Department organized a free backpack and school supply giveaway for our community members. With the support of Southwire, Inland Empire Health Plan (IEHP), Dandelion Dental and Orthodontics, and the Rotary Club, we were able to provide 300 free backpacks stuffed with school supplies. Families who registered for the event were able to join our sponsors and supporters at Old Town Park for goodies, yard games and free coffee, tea and pastries provided by Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf and Alebrijes Bakery. The Community Services Department was excited to see our young residents walk away ready to start the new school year.
