Community Summit on Recent Community Health Needs Assessment *

Join Jackson Health System, University of Miami Health System, Nicklaus Children's Hospital, and Mount Sinai Medical Center at 8 a.m. July 13, for a Community Summit on the recent Community Health Needs Assessment. Every three years, this process informs nonprofit hospital systems on community health needs and best uses of community resources. This half-day summit brings stakeholders together to learn about the assessment and offer feedback. Register below:

Free Youth Film Festival for Summer Campers *

The Miami 4 Social Change Youth Film Festival is open to all your summer campers (ages 11 and over) and will deliver a two-day cinematic extravaganza on Thursday, July 21, and Friday, July 21. This youth-friendly event promises to engage and entertain audiences with dynamic short films, workshops, red carpet photos, pitch competition, and awards ceremony. Youth attend at no cost. America On Tech Leader Program Accepting Applications *

America On Tech is on a mission to prepare the next generation of technology leaders through its programs that are designed to introduce students to computer science and coding. They are currently accepting applications for our 2023 - 2024 Tech Flex Leaders ($1,000 Stipend) program

 

The Tech Flex Leaders (TFL) Program is a 12-month (September 2023 - August 2024) immersive out-of-school time program for juniors and seniors in Miami-Dade and Broward. In the first semester, students learn how to code through web development, mastering HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap. In the second semester, students will choose a tech track to pursue - advanced web development, UX design, digital marketing, product management or data science. The program concludes with a 6-10 week paid internship experience. Students who successfully complete the program will receive a $1,000 stipend!

Change the Life of a Child in Foster Care; Serve on Citizen Review Panel

Florida Foster Care Review, which advances the safety, stability and success of abused and neglected children, youth and young adults by connecting them to essential services, healthy relationships and forever families, seeks caring community members to volunteer one (1) weekday a month for a minimum of one (1) year to serve on its Citizen Review Panel (CRP); volunteers must be at least 25 years old. The CRP conducts reviews over Zoom of active, judge-referred child welfare court cases.

Associate Director of Communications - $74,017 Annual *

The Associate Director of Communications is a key leadership team member, reporting to the Director of Communications, and is responsible for developing strategies and overseeing the execution of communications projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget. In this role, the Associate Director of Communications will lead team members in the development, execution, monitoring and completion of projects. This is done within the Communications department’s goals and vision, and strategy.


The Associate Director of Communications, under general guidance from the Director of Communications ensures the internal and external messages, brand and reputation of The Children’s Trust is of high quality, consistent and aligned with the organization’s values and goals. In this role, the incumbent will represent The Children’s Trust in internal and external meetings and events at the request of, or on behalf of, the Director of Communications. The Associate Director of Communications exercises discretionary judgment regarding the operations of the communications team. Work performance is reviewed directly by the Director of Communications through meetings, reports, and observation of results achieved.

Business Controller - $85,120-148,961 Annual *

The Business Controller is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of The Children' Trust. This includes, but is not limited to, the supervision of the work performed by the Accountants, Senior Accounting Analysts, Accounting Operations Manager and Fiscal Data Integrity Analyst of The Children’s Trust in accordance with The Children’s Trust (The Trust) procurement and accounting policies and procedures, Generally Accepted Principles (GAAP), regulations promulgated by the Governmental Accounting Standards (GASB) and Government Auditing Standards. As directed by the Finance Director, the Business Controller will be engaged in key functions such as planning, managing, monitoring and evaluating the fiscal activities and functions of The Trust and its service providing organizations to ensure that daily and long term financial activities and controls are created and maintained to achieve organizational objective and safeguard assets.

Senior Accounting Analyst - $64,363-112,363 Annual *

The Senior Accounting Analyst is responsible for reviewing and critically analyzing financial information and provider documents with an emphasis on maintaining quality internal control standards. This includes, but is not limited to, preparing, maintaining reviewing, and analyzing accounting records in accordance with The Children’s Trust (The Trust) accounting policies and procedures, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), regulations promulgated by the Governmental Accounting Standards (GASB) and Government Auditing Standards. As directed by the Business Controller, the Senior Accounting Analyst will be engaged in key projects and serve as content/project leads.


Work performance is reviewed through conferences, reports, and observation of results achieved.

Research & Evaluation Analyst (Early Childhood and/or Family Support Services) - $55,968-58,468 Annual

The Research and Evaluation Analyst is a critical member of both cross- and inter-departmental teams at The Children’s Trust who engages in proactive problem-solving and critical thinking/analysis related to the design and effectiveness of various child, youth and family services. Primary responsibilities include: contributing to effective program and systems designs for The Children’s Trust’s priority investments in child, youth and family services; designing and maintaining sound data collection tools and systems to capture meaningful program, operational and community data in a user-friendly, accessible manner; and analyzing and making meaning from available data to tell our stories using compelling visualizations and reports, with an intentional focus on the specific audience and purpose of the message.

Program Manager - $55,968 Annual

The position manages the full life cycle of assigned funded program(s) and services located throughout Miami-Dade County. This person requires occasional non-traditional work hours (weekends and evenings) and reliable transportation.


This professional position will support the Programs Management Team in implementing strategies that foster collaboration among internal and external stakeholders to ensure services are delivered in accordance with The Children’s Trust standards and latest evidence-based practices. S/he is responsible for utilizing change management, knowledge, skills, and behaviors to promote continuous quality improvement throughout the assigned contracts and projects. This person will be assigned a caseload of contracts and may serve as initiative/project lead. The attached exhibits include additional responsibilities for the Program Manager leading our Metrics and PPD efforts. Experience working with System-Involved Youth or implementing similar programming is strongly preferred

Research Business Analyst (Youth Program Evaluation & Analysis) - $74,017 Annual

The Research Business Analyst, working closely with the Director of Research and Evaluation and the Chief of Research, Evaluation and Strategic Planning, serves as a functional business lead in the team who is responsible for providing guidance that supports Research and Evaluation Analysts to more efficiently navigate technical and business process needs; planning and overseeing departmental and cross-departmental projects to ensure they are completed in a high-quality, timely fashion; and contributing to a culture of exceptional internal and external customer service from the research department.
