To the Ferny Grove Community,
We are aware of some concerns around the construction progress of Ferny Grove Central.
As the developer of the project, it is of our highest priority to ensure we inform the community of significant updates and progress on site.
We have been escalating our concerns regarding the progress of the project with the builder, Broad Construction.
As you may be aware, there have been significant delays in the construction industry Australia-wide. A number of factors have come together to create a ‘perfect storm’, including COVID-19 supply chain disruptions initially, national surge in demand for building materials and labour, international events and impacts of severe weather events.
Considering this, the builder has recently informed us completion of Ferny Grove Central is not likely to be until the third quarter of 2024. Our belief is this is more likely to be before Christmas, toward the end of the fourth quarter of 2024.
To achieve the above timeframes, we are dependent on the builder maintaining program and we advise these dates are approximate as at April 2023.
We appreciate your patience and understanding and we will continue to update the community as information comes to hand from the builder.
