Another month down means more solid progress on site at Ferny Grove. There is no slowing in activity, with Broad Construction continuing to hit significant milestones.
To give you some insight into how the structure is being progressed and what has been achieved or will be over the next little while:
Major Stormwater and High Voltage (HV) lines are being constructed underground to service the car park and the overall project
Structural works continue to progress and are top priority as we sail in to and through Q4.
The Builder targets completion of the commuter Car Park early in Q1 of 2023. Structural works have advanced towards Level 5. Concrete pours are set to commence early this month to columns, ramps & slabs on Levels 4 and 5. Once the structure is completed, the focus turns to façade screens, installation of planter beds and landscaping, the reticulation of services such as power, lighting, hydraulic and fire services, to the finishing touches of line marking and signage.
Design works are heading into the final stages for Woolworths, Dan Murphy’s and Cinebar. The focus on the Ferny Way end of the site is driving Broad’s critical path to hand over the commuter car park at the start of Q1 2023, so they can take over the remainder of the site where the existing commuter car parks are located.
Construction of Stage 2 or the western end of Ferny Grove Central, The Fernery, and future intersection at Samford Road can then commence, as noted above early in Q1 next year.
