Golden Eagle Owners,
Having waited more than 120 days so that possible litigation could be filed, in September, after receiving no lawsuits, we began prepping for construction. Water to the park was turned off, mowing was halted, and two applications of a chemical agent to kill the existing turf were made to prepare for the park conversion.
Starting next week, more substantial demo and reconstruction will commence. The tentative construction schedule is as follows:
-
Week of November 4: Demo and removal of all turf. It is expected to take about a month to complete. This will include removing and capping the old irrigation system and removing the controllers from the Golf Club.
-
Week of December 9: DLC's Special Project team will begin installing the new irrigation lines and irrigation heads - approximately 230 irrigation heads and rotors in total. This process will last approximately four to six weeks, lasting until mid or late January 2025.
-
Late January or early February: Sod installation. This is expected to go quickly once the irrigation and earthwork are completed. The intention is to use overseeded sod, which will depend on availability.
As with any project, the above schedule is tentative and subject to change based on weather, digging conditions, and other factors. Changes to the schedule will be communicated on the community website under the projects tab, and periodically through email blasts such as this.
