Description: Changes in life can be challenging, this support group can help! Moving homes, having a child go off to college, or becoming a stepparent are just some examples of life transitions this group helps people work though. Additionally, the purpose of this workshop is to provide participants with the coping skills needed to minimize unproductive responses to their identified life transition. The group is facilitated by Dr. Margo Merin, DSW who is certified in meditation and mindfulness, as well as grief and bereavement counseling. Dr. Merin graduated from Columbia University with a Master of Science in Advanced Clinical Practice from the School of Social Work and went on to receive a Doctorate in Social Work from Southern Connecticut State University.

Taking Care: Empowerment for Women Navigating Healthcare

Description: Facilitator Maya Bartel, a Family Nurse Practitioner practicing in Guilford, will empower participants to explore their relationships to illness, their bodies, and their identity as a patient.
