April Emergency Preparedness

Severe weather can happen anytime, but in this area of the country, it most typically happens in the Spring. Severe weather can bring hazardous conditions produced by thunderstorms, including damaging winds, tornadoes, large hail, flooding and flash flooding. Understand the types of hazardous weather that affects you and your family where you live and know your risks. And take action - develop an emergency plan based on your local weather hazards and practice your plan. Visit the CCOB Emergency Preparedness website and the severe weather resource pages with guidance for your community on preparation and response to potential hazards and threats before, during and after an event.
