Broomfield National Night Out
Tuesday, Aug. 2 from 5–8:30 p.m., make sure to join Broomfield and its surrounding communities across the nation to celebrate this all-hazard safety event at the Broomfield County Commons Park. Interact with various learning stations, all-hazard preparedness education centers, a demonstration by North Metro Fire Rescue and a SWAT display. Participate in Touch-a-Truck where in addition to the traditional police and fire vehicles, this year Touch-a-Truck includes big city trucks that take care of Broomfield’s streets.
RTD Zero Fare for Better Air
Ride Broomfield FlexRide for FREE this August! The Flatiron Flyer, all local and regional buses, FlexRide and rail will not be collecting fares to ride. There are many ways to take advantage of Zero Fares for Better Air in August. Try a new commute or a new way to experience your favorite entertainment, sports venues, restaurants, and shopping districts. When out and about taking advantage of Zero Fares, snap a photo and post on social media using the hashtag #ZeroFare or #BetterAir.
Routine Vaccines
Check off everything on your back-to-school to-do list, including scheduling your child’s recommended vaccines to protect them from diseases like measles, whooping cough and chickenpox. Talk to your child’s pediatrician or visit Broomfield.org/Vaccines to learn more.
An Inspired Life: The John Metzger Story Postponed
Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Saturday, Aug. 13 program 'An Inspired Life: The John Metzger Story' at Metzger Farm Open Space, has been postponed to 2023. The Broomfield Depot Museum apologizes for this change, but feels it will serve the program and our community better to wait until 2023 for the program.

🎗️ JumpStart Cancer Exercise Program: Experience a new program and enjoy a brief introduction to the new Cancer Exercise Training Program. This program is offered in eight sessions over one month and provides an initial assessment as well as a personalized training program led by a certified Cancer Exercise Trainer and six group sessions.
😷 COVID-19 Vaccine Clinics: Broomfielders can receive a FREE COVID-19 vaccine or booster, including vaccines for children six months to four years, at clinics in and near Broomfield, including Children's Hospital North!
🧠 QPR Trainings: Register online for a free Question, Persuade, Refer training in August for anyone 18+ interested in learning more about suicide warning signs, prevention strategies and how to support youth having thoughts of suicide.

🌱 Fall Garden Pollinators: Prepare your fall garden by having plants that bloom late and provide important resources for pollinators. Some species you can plant in your Broomfield gardens with mid and late season blooms include milkweed, yarrow, Hairy False Goldenaster and Rabbitbrush! Learn how to create a pollinator habitat and check out the featured plants. See the plants in person and view the demonstration garden at the City and County Building.

Visit Broomfield Voice to give feedback on a variety of community projects, including:

🚗 Electric Vehicle Charging Ordinance: Give feedback by Aug. 8 at 5 p.m. on an ordinance that would require EV parking spaces for a new single family, duplex and multi-family residential developments and non-residential developments. A public hearing and a final reading is scheduled for Aug. 9.

👨‍🦽 120th Ave Multimodal Study: Take a survey to help CDOT and the City and County of Broomfield identify gaps in accessible multimodal travel along the US 287/120th Avenue corridor.
