Broomfield's New Website Has Launched
Broomfield’s website has a new look! When you visit Broomfield.org, you will see a new design, new organization and a refreshed homepage allowing you to better navigate! Also look out for exciting updates to other online platforms, such as Compass (Library, Arts and History’s program scheduling software,) Council agenda management software and a new Channel 8 stream and app.
Community Forum for City and County Clerk Candidates
Come meet the candidates for Broomfield’s next City and County Clerk. Join the City and County of Broomfield on Wednesday, Aug. 24 from 5:30-7 p.m. in Council Chambers at the George DiCiero County Building for an opportunity to listen and get to know each finalist. Looking Back for a Vision Forward: Stories of Resilience
Swing by the Broomfield Auditorium on Saturday, Aug. 20 at 3 p.m. (Free - Just drop in) to listen to a dynamic discussion about race and justice in our community that builds off the first Looking Back event in April 2021 about housing discrimination. Panelists will share stories of Black resilience and share an actionable vision for the future of race and equity in Broomfield.
COVID-19: Broomfield is in Level Medium
Broomfield has moved from level “high” to level “medium” on the CDC’s COVID-19 Community Levels. This change indicates the risk of COVID-19 infection is decreasing in Broomfield, but there are additional steps you can take to keep you and your family healthy, especially if you are at high risk of severe illness.

🎭 Arts, Culture and Science Grant: Submit your application for authorized funds in the city budget to support arts, culture and science programs offered by the community. The maximum grant request is $1,500 with more than $20,000 being available for the 2023 funding cycle. The first application is due on Sept. 5.
💉 COVID-19 Vaccine Clinics: Anyone age 6 months and older can receive a COVID-19 vaccine at Broomfield Public Health and Environment at special clinics in August! Make an appointment.
💉 Routine Vaccines: Check off everything on your back-to-school to-do list, including scheduling your child’s recommended vaccines to protect them from diseases like measles, whooping cough, and chickenpox. Talk to your child’s pediatrician or visit Broomfield.org/Vaccines to learn more.

🎨 ARTery Sidewalk Mural: Next time you’re on the ARTery trail be sure to check out the three ARTery Sidewalk Mural projects: "Wild Water Neighbors”, “Pollinator Path” and “Emergence”. Check out more information about this project and to find locations of the murals.
🧒 August is Child Support Awareness Month: Celebrate 46 years of helping families and help spread the word. In Fiscal Year 2021, child support programs nationwide collected $32.7 billion and served 13.2 million children — that’s 1 in 5 children in the United States. This kind of support helps families thrive and sets kids up to succeed.

⚕️ Children's Colorado Community Health Survey: Improve the health and well-being of children and youth in the area by participating in the Children’s Colorado health survey. Anyone with children in the home ages 0-25 in Broomfield can complete the survey used to collect information to better understand concerns, challenges and needs to improve in the area. 

🚗 Midway Multimodal Action Plan: Provide your comments on the Midway Boulevard Draft Concept Plans as part of the final round of public engagement for the Midway Multimodal Action Plan. Public engagement will be open until mid-September.

👨‍🦽 120th Ave Multimodal Study: Take a resident or business owner survey to help CDOT and the City and County of Broomfield identify gaps in accessible multimodal travel along the US 287/120th Avenue corridor.

Drum Roll Please… the votes are in and the 2022 Broomfield Days Grand Marshal is Jay Willey! Jay Willey has lived in the Broomfield community for over 50 years. As a Personal Trainer with the City and County of Broomfield, Jay has trained about every demographic in the Broomfield community to lead healthy, productive and more enjoyable lives. His influence and knowledge has touched thousands of lives over the years. Jay has trained and welcomed members of all communities in the spirit of inclusivity, kindness and respect.
