Thanks to active conservation efforts, the enforcement of hunting regulations and aggressive reintroductions since the 1980s, the wild turkey thrives in Colorado once again! 🦃

Go Solar, Together!
The City and County of Broomfield is teaming up with Solar United Neighbors to bring you the Broomfield Solar Co-op, a way for homeowners and small business owners to learn about solar energy and purchase solar panels at a group rate. For more information about going solar and the Broomfield Solar Co-op, attend the launch event Wednesday, Dec. 14 at 6 p.m. at the Broomfield Community Center.
Marijuana Licenses
In 2021, Broomfield City Council approved the sale of retail and medical marijuana in Broomfield. What do you need to know?
  • Applications for additional Broomfield Marijuana Business licenses will be accepted Oct. 1–Nov. 30, 2022.
  • Your public comments on business applications will be accepted from Dec. 5, 2022–Jan. 13, 2023 at 5 p.m.
  • Applications will be available for public review beginning Dec. 5, 2022. 
Talk to Santa
Pick up the phone, it’s Santa calling! Residents of the City and County of Broomfield with children between the ages of 2-8 years old can sign up to receive a personal phone call from Santa Claus on Dec. 3 between 9 a.m. and noon. Parents, remember to register for Talk to Santa by 5 p.m. on Dec. 1.
Have a Healthy Holiday
Metro-area hospitals are continuing to see an influx of sick kids. Stay healthy this season by taking preventative measures to protect yourself and loved ones from RSV, the flu and COVID-19. Wash your hands frequently for at least 20 seconds with soap and water or use hand sanitizer with 60% alcohol, stay home when you are sick and cover your nose and mouth with a tissue or upper arm sleeve when you cough or sneeze.
Winter Library Adventures Challenge
Track your reading and activities throughout the month of December for the 2022 Winter Reading Challenge. Read ten days during the month or complete ten activities, or a combo of both to earn a prize. The reading and activity challenge goes from Dec. 1–31 and is for all ages.

The holiday festivities have been kicked into action with Holiday Cheer events rolling in! Residents flocked to the Broomfield Community Center to participate and enjoy the Jingle Bell Market Craft Fair. The event featured five rooms with local crafts filled with jewelry, ornaments, pottery and more special items for spreading joy this holiday season.
