January 14, 2022

Dear MPH Community,

Please watch the video above for a brief update from Head of School Dave McCusker regarding current testing efforts and our plans for next week.

Additionally, as a summary of what we know thus far from the week of January 10-14:

Monday: 105 tests conducted; 2 positive cases

Tuesday: Snow Day

Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday: Over these three days, we conducted 304 additional tests across all divisions including all those participating in winter sports. We have not yet received the results from these tests as the lab is experiencing delays due to the current surge in the virus. We will communicate the results of the tests as soon as we receive them.

Plan for Next Week | January 18-21

  • We will continue to conduct classes and after-school activities on campus.
  • We will test 100 percent of our students and employees over the course of four days and report results as soon as possible.
  • We will return to our original simulcast/distance learning policy next week, limiting access to those in isolation and quarantine. See the complete policy here.
  • Lower School Extended Day will be open until 5:30 p.m. for Pre-K-Grade 5 families who have no other care options.

Additional Reminders

Closed Monday | The school will be closed Monday, January 17, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

As always, if you learn that anyone in your household tests positive for COVID-19, please notify [email protected] as soon as possible so that we can continue to track effectively the overall health of the community.

Our overall objective is to ensure that our students have the benefit of in-person, on-campus education while doing so as safely as possible for all students and employees. We will continue to practice good habits on campus.

  • Strict face covering enforcement; please bring your own mask and a spare
  • Separation of individuals during lunch and snacks; bring your own refillable water bottle
