ST. JOHN VIANNEY PARISH
Community Update
for Sunday October 10, 2021
Pastor's Note
After a school-wide Mass this week, one first grade girl quipped to me, “I love Church. Do you?” As a disciple and a priest, I would answer affirmative, especially here at St John Vianney. I love when all the baptized faithful live out their mission to fill their world with God. On Monday, we had our Vietnamese mothers team up with our Men’s Club and our SJV youth to cook a money-can't-buy Pho meal for the 400 Alpha participants for over 10 hours. The meal they prepared paved the way for the profound conversation around forgiveness and why Jesus died. The St John Vianney Church that is emerging from the pandemic is one that is energetic, hospitable, generous, faithful and joyful. I love our Church. Do you?

Read on for other ways we are joyfully living out our mission here at SJV, including our Annual St Francis Animal Blessing on Saturday, October 9 2PM.

St John Vianney, pray for us!

God bless,

Fr Joe

Stewardship @SJV
Our Sunday Collection for the weekend of October 3 was $14,050. Our Pre-pandemic average was $13,000 per week. Our short term goal is to increase it to $15,000 per week so we can support our parish mission of forming Joyful Disciples. We need everybody’s participation. We kindly ask you to give sacrificially and inspire those who are not currently giving to contribute here. It takes all of us to carry out the Mission of our Lord Jesus here at St John Vianney Parish and School.
Livestream issue has been resolved!
The internet issue in the church was resolved this week thanks to ATT. Enjoy the livestream from our parish's website and our parish’s facebook.

We will follow the County and Diocesan order to wear masks indoors to help curb the spread of the virus. Liturgical ministers proclaiming 6 feet away and cantors singing 12 feet away from people are allowed to remove their masks. Thank you for your vigilance for the health of others.
