ST. JOHN VIANNEY PARISH
Community Update
for Sunday May 2nd, 2021
5th Sunday of Easter
Pastor's Note
Do you know what would make your mother happy? Give her a call? Spend quality time with her? Send her flowers? Go to church? You can fulfill all of these here at SJV next weekend. There will be a special Mother’s Day blessing and gift at all Masses next weekend. We are still taking nominations for the “SJV Mother of the Year” Award, to be awarded next weekend. Send me an email, a picture and a reason. We will also remember all the deceased mothers and grandmothers. Donations in honor of these great women can be made at the parish office or our parish website. Fr John made his mother really happy when he became a priest (God rest her three years on May 5).

Our parish fiesta will take on a different form. More details to come but keep May 22, June 26 and Aug 7 on your calendars. Read on for the many happenings here at your SJV home.

St John Vianney, pray for us!

God bless,

Fr Joe

ADA UPDATE
This year’s ADA campaign has been historic as SJV has raised $$225,781, having eclipsed our parish goal of $200,000. Our community always steps up when called upon for help and we are sincerely grateful. We know that many parishioners are now just returning to mass as we begin to turn the corner on the pandemic. For those who have yet to donate, we ask that you please consider pledging today. You will also receive more information in the mail from the Diocese shortly. All dollars raised at this point will come back to our parish as a rebate and will be applied to our COVID relief fund. The ADA committee along with Fathers Joe and John would like to sincerely thank you for your continued support and financial contributions.
