ST. JOHN VIANNEY PARISH
Community Update
for Sunday November 29, 2020
Pastor's Note
There are 27 days left to Christmas! Nine months ago this Christmas was made special. Not when we shut down, but when we celebrated the Feast of the Annunciation on March 25. The hidden Jesus, Jesus in the womb has been much like the last 38 weeks of pandemic shutdown. Where did Jesus go over the last nine months? Nowhere. He is ready to be born in each of us by faith and by our giving birth to our faith in action. I would encourage all of us as we light our Advent wreaths, put up our lights, decorate our trees that we pray the single prayer every day: “Maranatha.” The old prayer of invitation rings true today. “Come, Lord Jesus.” Let’s plan to prepare together as a parish community through the Advent Sunday Masses and the Sunday night “Vianney Show.”

Read on for schedules and details for all the happenings in the parish. We have great hope because the Lord has been born in the faithful leaders of our parish as Mr. Sal Heredia and his daughter Esmeralda witnessed this past Sunday. Let the Lord not be hidden any more!

St. John Vianney, pray for us!

God bless,

Fr Joe
