ST. JOHN VIANNEY PARISH
Community Update
for Sunday February 21, 2021
1st Sunday of Lent
Pastor's Note
Happy Lent! We had over 1000 people receive their ashes on Wednesday on our campus over 12 hours! At each of our services, I asked our parish to fast from Facebook and to take up the #Pray40 challenge via the Hallow App (free for 30 days, $60 for the year). There is a meditation in English and Spanish each day of Lent in addition to other excellent meditations and prayers. The #Pray40 challenge is around the figure of Jesus’ foster father on earth because it is the Year of St Joseph which Pope Francis designated. How about we use less time on social media and more time with God and family?
Read on for details on our parish’s Lenten journey. Welcome back to Msgr Jeronimo this weekend!
