Community Update

Dear Friends of the Women & Family Life Center,

This fall, the Women & Family Life Center will be out in the community. The Center's staff has several tabling events throughout the towns we serve. These events are a great opportunity for us to connect with you, share our mission, and learn more about your needs. If you come across us, please be sure to stop by and say hi. We love seeing and connecting with you all in the community!

We are thrilled to share our exciting lineup of programs for the coming months. This include the return of our popular programs Restart, Adapt, our Bereavement Support Group, the Strategies For Managing Life Transitions group, as well as our new Pet Bereavement Support Group. We're also introducing new workshops, such as Divorce and Money: What You Need To Know, Taking Care: Empowerment for Women Navigating Health Care, and a Divorce Mortgage Workshop. As always, our one-on-one support services through GAP are critical for the success of those we serve and are always available.

Additionally, we have exciting events planned like the Putting Contest Fundraiser at Guilford Lakes Golf Club, Dine and Donate Give Back at the Guilford Mooring, and Giving Back in Guilford at Belle Vie Café.

W&FLC has a busy fall planned, and we eagerly anticipate seeing many of you at our programs or events. Your involvement, whether it's attending our events, participating in our programs, or simply spreading the word, is invaluable and makes a significant difference. You are an integral part of our journey at the Women & Family Life Center.

September 2024 Community Update

Women & Family Life Center welcomes our newest member of the team, our new MSW intern, Marina Pappas! She has lived in Connecticut for 15 years and is currently pursuing her Master's of Social Work at Southern Connecticut State University. She loves working with nonprofits that address the needs of families and kids and previously worked with Yale University's Minding the Baby program. Welcome, Marina!
