Happy Friday!


Management notified JGS Insurance Services to bind insurance coverage for the Sun City Community Association of Huntley, Inc. after approval by the Board of Directors on August 26th. The attached product neighborhood owners should receive via USPS a certificate of insurance by the end of next week. If you need a certificate prior to delivery of the annual mailing, owners may email certificate@jgsinsurance.com or condocertrequest@jgsinsurance.com. The common elements insurance certificate has been posted to www.sccah.com.

Validate Your Birthdate

Validate your Birthdate campaign is now live! Northstar will prompt each member who logs in to verify birthdate information. Get ready to participate in our campaign to “Validate your Birthdate!!”


Please note that residents will continue to see that they have validated until our campaign is over (approx. 45 days). Please visit any of our customer service desks during business hours if you need assistance. Postcards are available in the lodge with instructions.

Covid Booster

Due to overwhelming demand, we have added another session for the 3rd vaccine booster clinic, which will be held Monday, October 10. Register online for SCH175. Assistance is available at any of our customer service desks.

Flu Season is Coming! Are you ready?

Avoid the flu and get your flu immunization at the Northwestern Medicine Wellness Center at Sun City! All Sun City residents are eligible to receive services at the Wellness Center. High dose and regular dose flu shots will be available by appointment starting the last week in September. Flu immunizations are free with most insurance. There is no co-payment unless required by your insurance plan. To schedule your appointment, please contact our team at 847.515.2078. Walk-ins will not be allowed. At the time of your appointment, please remember to arrive 15 minutes early and bring a valid state ID and medical insurance card.

 

PLEASE NOTE:

 It is recommended that you discuss with your doctor which flu immunization is best for you, as the high dose is not for everyone. To learn more about the difference between the regular and the high dose flu shot, visit the CDC website HERE.

General Election Voting Information

Sun City Huntley is an early voting location for Kane County residents for the upcoming General Primary Election. Early voting for Kane County residents takes place on Monday, October 31 – Thursday, November, 10am-4:30pm, in the Prairie Lodge Social Lounge adjacent to the Member Services Desk.



Kane County residents can register to vote at this time, too. Early voting does not have to be conducted at your usual polling place. To verify your designated Election Day polling place, check your voter registration card or call the Kane County Clerk's office at 630-232-5990.


Early voting is available for McHenry County residents at the Huntley Park District on ( 12015 Mill St. Huntley )

  • Saturday, October 29th 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM
  • Monday, October 31st through Friday, November 4th 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM

Pavement Cores In Sun City

The pavement cores will continue into the green areas in the Sun City NH’s preparing for the 2023 Street Improvement Program.

Curbside Branch Pick-Up 

Village of Huntley Curbside Branch Pick-Up 

Monday, September 26th


The fall branch pick up program begins in Sun City.  The Village crews will be coming thru Sun City and request that all branches be out at the curb by Monday, September 26.


Branch collection crews will make only one pass in each neighborhood.

Branches put out after Village crews have passed will not be collected. Crews will not go on private property to pick up the branches.


The following items will NOT be accepted:



♦ Tree limbs larger than 10” in diameter or smaller than 1/2” in diameter

♦ Tied bundles of branches

♦ Bagged material or material in cans

♦ Leaves and yard waste

♦ Trimmings from bushes

♦ Evergreen material

♦ Stumps of any kind

Sun City Neighborhood Advisory Council (NAC) Sponsors Community Wide Event Food Drive

This will be a drive through event and all donations will go to the Grafton Food Pantry.


When: Thursday, October 13, 2022

Time: 9:00 A.M. thru 1:00 P.M.

Where: Drive thru Circle at Fountain View


  • Please drop off all donations between the above hours.
  • A box will also be available for any cash or gift card donations.
  • Some of the biggest needs in our community are cleaning supplies, paper goods, personal care items, and nonperishables items. (Please, no expired goods)


A raffle ticket will be given to each person who donates at this event. Several prizes will be awarded. Thank you in advance for your generosity.
