The election results for your 2021 Board of Directors have been received and reviewed by the Elections Committee. The Sun City Community Association of Huntley, Inc, Board of Directors are as follows:

  • Marilynn Berendt - 2-year term
  • Vito Benigno - 2-year term
  • Dottie Harrison - 2-year term
  • Bob McGouey – 2-year term
  • Art Ryden – 1-year term

A total of 2,480 votes were received which represents 45% of the community. On behalf of the entire community, I would like to thank each candidate for their interest to serve in the governing process of this community. Additional appreciation to the Election Committee for conducting another successful election during these difficult times. Seeking Volunteers For 2021
Are you interested in serving on a Committee ? Simply fill out a  Letter of Interest Form. Once completed, please return the form to the Members Services Desk at the Prairie Lodge.

Voting Information
Kane County Residents
For those who prefer to cast their ballot in person, early voting for Kane County residents will be available from October 26-29 in the Drendel ballroom, 10am-4:30pm. Most residents of Kane County can vote
in-person on election day in Drendel Ballroom. Management has confirmed with the county election bureau that their staff will provide social distancing and sanitization at all polling places.

McHenry County Residents

Monday, October 19th - Friday, October 23rd 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Saturday, October 24th 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM
Monday, October 26th - Friday, October 30th 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Saturday, October 31st 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM

Fall Clean Up
Fall clean up in the residents yards, should consist of leaf removal at reasonably frequent intervals. Yard waste bags must be stored inside the garage and only brought out on regularly scheduled trash day.

Free Vison Acuity Screening
Simpson Eye Associates will provide complimentary vision screenings, including a screening for macular degeneration. An optician will be available for minor frame and eye adjustments, eyeglass cleanings and consultations for lens and frame improvements. To register, call the Wellness Center at 847.515.2078. Free Foot Screenings
Proactive monitoring and regular assessments are effective measures in prevention and early detection of foot problems, thus reducing amputation rates. Foot screenings are important to enable appropriate management of foot care and/or foot problems for everyone, but especially for individuals with chronic conditions such as diabetes.
