Celebrating National Home-
ownership
Month
In June, NeighborWorks America facilitated a nationwide celebration of National Homeownership Month. Alongside hundreds of other CDFIs, we partnered with Neighborworks America for their annual Neighborworks Week celebration to showcase our ongoing efforts to increase homeownership throughout Kentucky. Thanks to NeighborWorks America, we were able to support and implement events that touched dozens of clients and community members.
In Lexington, neighbors, friends, and community
sta
keholders joined the CV team for an afternoon of fun, live music, and a hot grill of food for everyone. We also used the event to showcase a number of local artists from the East End, in an effort to showcase the rich culture that still exists in this vibrant community.
In West Louisville, we invited Russell neighborhood residents along with potential future residents to our Cedar Street show house for a relaxing afternoon with food and drinks.
