Your Voice Counts: Community Wellbeing Event | |
Join us for the Bienestar Comunitario-Community Wellbeing event on Tuesday 10/17 at the Fair Oaks Community Center 5:30PM. El Concilio, Nuestra Casa, ALAS and our Latinx Mental Health Assessment committee partners will present our findings and recommendations from a county-wide assessment that several of our community members participated via a survey, focus group or interview.
There will be a taquero, desserts, raffles, and more. The event will primarily be in Spanish, with English translation available.

Magical Bridge Playground at El Carmelo School Opening | |

Magical Bridge Playground at El Carmelo School will open on October 18 at 1:30pm with a magical celebration. This is Magical Bridge's second school playground, after Addison Elementary in Palo Alto which opened in 2020.

Celebrating Redwood City's Racial Equity Mural | |
Join in for a celebration of Redwood City’s “Visions of Equity” mural, a public artwork depicting moments from our community's history as well as our shared hopes and dreams for the future. From public workshops and hands-on art activities to walking tours and a documentary film screening, there will be many opportunities to engage with the mural’s artwork, themes, and vision for a more equitable world.

Financial Learnings Survey |
The Financial Learnings Committee seeks to identify how women in the county are falling behind in building and sustaining financial wealth to insure their economic stability. To help remedy the situation, a report to the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors with recommendations will be provided.
By completing this 10-minute Financial Learnings Survey, your valuable feedback concerning wages, savings, investments, home ownership will provide a more accurate picture of how women in San Mateo County experience a financial wealth gap. Feel free to share with others who live or work in San Mateo County and please complete and submit the survey by October 20th.

The Child-Care and Early Childhood Education Committee is committed to helping increase access to child-care in San Mateo County and wants to understand your past and/or current experience. Anyone who has ever been a parent or caregiver is encouraged to complete the survey. The information you share will inform their report to the Board of Supervisors in support of funding for child-care access and other aspects of caregiving that impact the economic security of women in San Mateo County.
The Child-Care Impact Survey is anonymous (with Spanish and Mandarin prompts) and should take approximately 10 minutes to complete. Feel free to share this survey with others who live or work in San Mateo County. Please submit the survey by October 20th, 2023.
