First United Methodist Church's
9th Annual
Community Wide Thanksgiving Dinner
Thanksgiving is just around the corner and planning is in full swing!  We will serve around 1,000 again this year.  6,000 flyers will be distributed throughout LISD's elementary schools inviting families to join us for dinner!  It's free and it's for everyone!   Come serve with us, or come dine with us.

To see how you can help, go to our webpage.  Get details and sign up there.

Our communion offering this Sunday will benefit our annual Community Thanksgiving Meal.  Specifically, your offering will be used for everything but turkeys and pies. For the meal, we purchase potatoes and dressing. We purchase chicken broth, cranberry sauce, onions, celery, rolls, butter, salt, pepper, and everything one would normally use for a big, special meal. We purchase paper products, plates, dessert plates, cups, forks, spoons, knives, napkins...for a thousand people.  Aluminum pans, foil, paper towels, sterno, lighters, saran wrap for a thousand pieces of pie, table cloths, serving pieces like spoons and ladles, ice, tea, lemonade...the list goes on and on.  Everything you want for your meal, we want for ours.  Only times a thousand. And dish soap, scouring pads, trash bags, gloves...everything to keep a clean house! Thanks in advance for your generosity!
