This month, we wrapped up the last of three Entrepreneurial Thinking Cohorts offered in 2021. Since 2020, Executive Directors and Board members from 16 nonprofit organizations have gone through this 4-week intensive series to explore the creation of new revenue streams and ensure their long-term sustainability.

Led by retired faculty from William & Mary's Mason School of Business, each nonprofit was also matched up with a mentor from the School's Executive Partner Program, who will continue to work with their nonprofit for another 6 months as they research, plan, and implement strategies.

*This program was offered in partnership with the Bernardine Franciscan Sisters Foundation and will continue in 2022 with three new Cohorts!

Here is what participants had to say when we asked them what was the most important thing they learned...

to stop thinking of our organization as a “charity” and more like a business...we must be entrepreneurial minded in order to find sustainable solutions to ensure future ability to meet the needs of our programs and clients.

there is such a thing as productive failure, which should be embraced as part of the process of improvement.
