to connect, soothe

Are you not feeling well or do you know someone who is under the weather? Well, take heart! The Ottawa Kosher Soup Registry is here.

This new initiative, created through a special partnership between the Ottawa Kosher Foodies Facebook group, NCSY and Congregation Beit Tikvah, allows people to receive or send a nice, hot bowl of soup.

Jewish kids get fun shot at hockey with new Shtick Handlers program

Shabbat-observant youth will finally have a chance to take part in a classic Canadian form of recreation: hockey.

Ice rink schedules often mean that youth hockey leagues take place on weekend mornings, which means some families have self-selected out or have limited access.

new ambassador to Israel

Israel's new ambassador to Canada has arrived in Ottawa, and he is ready to make his mark.

Ambassador Dr. Ronen Hoffman began his posting earlier this month by presenting his credentials to Governor General Mary Simon.


Youth Climate Movement expands to Ottawa

The Jewish Youth Climate Movement (JYCM) is coming to Ottawa, as the first non-U.S. chapter of the organization takes root in the capital city. JYCM is dedicated to mitigating climate change by empowering teens.
