2020 Good Neighbor Annual Campaign
As COVID-19 has changed our lives in many ways, one thing has been steadfast during this pandemic – Bronson Healthcare. Our providers and staff continue serving our communities every day to ensure excellent care for all patients and families. We are grateful that during this time of need, you also continue to be there for us.
 
Your support is vital to ensure everyone in our community gets access to the care and resources they need to manage their health challenges. We hope you will consider making a gift during our annual Good Neighbor Campaign.
Southwest Michigan Rallies around Frontline Workers
As COVID-19 cases remain high in southwest Michigan, so has the support for our frontline #BronsonHeroes. Gifts have been received in the form of portable massagers, snacks, meals, and even honey from the Kalamazoo Bee Club! All these generous donations are appreciated by our frontline employees who are going above and beyond to provide exceptional care to our patients. These donations are a reminder that our communities appreciate them and stand with them.
Foundation Welcomes New Board Member
Bronson Health Foundation is thrilled to share that Pastor James Harris has joined the Board of Directors. Pastor Harris serves as Senior Pastor of Trenches Community Church in Kalamazoo. Pastor Harris and wife, Machelle, have 3 children, 7 grandchildren, and 3 granddogs. When he is not leading the congregation, he enjoys traveling with his wife.

When asked about what excites him to join the board, Pastor Harris shared "Working alongside an ethnically diverse group of people who have a love for all people and a heart for equity and inclusion within our community and healthcare practices."

Pastor Harris brings a wealth of experience of leadership to the board and we look forward to all he will accomplish.
Former Bronson Patient Shares Her Bronson Journey
In 2006, Anita Mehta was 19 weeks pregnant with twins and heading to a normal ultrasound checkup. During the ultrasound, it was discovered that Anita was in preterm labor. She was immediately admitted to the Antepartum Unit, beginning her family’s healthcare journey at Bronson.

Anita shares, “Our journey was not easy but fast forward to today, we have a happy and healthy 14-year-old. We wouldn't be in this situation if it wasn't for the care we received at Bronson early on.”
Impact of Holiday Toy Workshop at Bronson Children's Hospital
In December 2019, the Ward Family received news that their daughter had double pneumonia and would be spending their holiday season at Bronson Children's Hospital. During the week of Christmas, they were amazed by the Holiday Toy Workshop - a place where guardians of a pediatric patient can select a toy to give to their child. This is all made possible by the generosity of our communities and a little magic from our Child Life Specialists.

This inspired the Ward Family to give back to Bronson Children's Hospital.
