World Environment Day

For World Environment Day on June 5 — themed “Beat Plastic Pollution” — WHE highlighted how we’re helping schools reduce single-use plastics by installing water bottle refilling stations.

Through our Healthy Schools 1,000 Hours Program, WHE installs water stations that let students refill their bottles instead of tossing them. Pictured above is a student refilling at a water fountain station WHE installed at the Jeron X. Grayson Community Center in the Hill District.
