The CobraHead Newsletter
Happy end of September! We have some fun stuff for you this month! Firstly, our friends at Food Gardening Network are offering a free vegetable companion planting guide. We're sharing a very cool bit of news about a non-gardening use for your CobraHead. Judy has another seasonal recipe for you. Andy shares some photos of a few of the very charming streets he and I visited in Philadelphia last week. We'll tell you more about that trip in a future newsletter, but in the meantime, please enjoy!

Don't forget to enter our monthly giveaway (just reply to this email and request to be entered). As always, feel free to leave us any additional comments when you do!

We were utterly tickled to see photos of our Original CobraHead Weeder & Cultivator in a national news story about a major fossil discovery. So we reached out to the team at Calvert Marine Museum to find out more about how their paleontology team started using CobraHeads for their digs.

We had a bumper crop of sweet peppers this year. Using a Mexican rice filling with this old favorite makes for an excellent vegetarian stuffed pepper.

Last week, Anneliese and I traveled to Philadelphia to tour several public and private gardens while attending the 2023 Garden Fling. We had a great time and will be sharing more about this soon. Before the tours started, we spent a day strolling through the neighborhoods of central Philadelphia. Philadelphia is a beautiful and charming city with so much history; so, I want to share some photos of that here.

Whether I’m in a big city neighborhood or a small town, I love places that are walkable, pleasant, and beautiful. I also adore the architecture of historic houses and neighborhoods with greenery. Old Philadelphia has these qualities in abundance. I was delighted by the narrow, alley streets, and old townhouses. I also love that these streets are lined with a lot of mature trees, planters, and window flower boxes. These streets are quiet, peaceful, and green places to walk, a true pedestrian paradise!
