Hello Company Families! 

Congratulations to everyone on amazing performances this weekend! The Nutcracker was wonderful! 

The  excitement  continues with Mr. Don's visit in less than two weeks! Please remember that a bsences ARE NOT ALLOWED as we prepare for Mr. Don!

DONATIONS CAN BE DROPPED OFF AT THE STUDIO THROUGH DECEMBER 8TH!

Donations of menu items, including boxes of instant potatoes, corn bread, roll mix, stuffing, cake, frosting, gravy and cocoa, canned vegetables, canned fruit, cranberry sauce and Jell-O are also needed. Families receive vouchers to help pay for perishable foods.

 

As you know, Mr.  Don Mirault will be here December 16-18 for his annual visit to help and we are all so excited! The way this works is each group dance (see list below) will have a 20-30 minute time slot with  Don for him to help us with our choreography, give the dancers valuable tips, motivate, etc. He will also work with solos and duet/trios if you reserve a spot(watch for an email regarding this).  He was a very valuable resource for the dancers whom he worked with the last several years! He helped their routines in ways that only he can! He is a fantastic motivator and teacher, as many of you remember from last year. He really helps dancers reach their full potential in each routine!

 

Let me tell you a little bit about  Don.  Don has performed on Broadway in "A Chorus Line", as Fred Casely in "Chicago" and also in "Baby". He has a book called "Dancing for a Living" and has helped many dancers launch their careers.  Don has also had speaking roles on Saved by the Bell, Star Trek, Knotts Landing, The Golden Girls, and Miss Congeniality 2 just to name a few! He is a national judge and master class teacher for Talent on Parade and also runs a production company in Las Vegas.

 

For those who were a part of our team last year, you may recall there was a small fee involved to bring someone like this to our studio for a weekend.  The fee this year is $5 per person per group (see list below). Fees MUST be paid by December 15th. We can only accept cash or check for these fees.

(Groups not meeting with Don: Production, Mini-Lyrical, Pre-Company, Company Tap 2 & 5)

 

In addition to group sessions with Mr. Don, we will have times available for solos/duets/trios to meet with him.  I recommend this  for everyone who will be competing with an average age 9 or older (ask me if you are unsure if that includes your dancer).

 

Each solo, duet, or trio will meet with Don for 20-25 minutes.  He helps our dancers reach their full potential and has been instrumental in our dancers success over the last several years.  

 

There is a fee involved for this. Here is the fee breakdown for this year:

• Solos: $15 per person per solo
• Duets/trios: $10 per person per duet/trio

Fees are due December 15th and must be paid by cash or check.  Sorry, but we cannot charge your account.  Times are available Friday afternoon/evening, Saturday, and Sunday.
