Ship & Shore Environmental had an active first quarter, and we know this momentum has set us up for an excellent rest of the year. We would like to share some of our highlights as we spring into the second quarter. From expanding our service team and engaging in tradeshows, to starting and executing multiple large scale projects, we look forward to the many new opportunities that will present themselves. We worked with many of our existing customers to engineer, design and supply system upgrades in order to foster their continued growth while ensuring they are within clean air regulations. 2021 Was a Year of Ongoing Growth & International Reach
Despite persistent risks, virus variants, and supply chain challenges, the world continued its march from the global pandemic into economic recovery. Ship & Shore Environmental, Inc. (S&SE) finished off a very productive year executing plans to continuously assist its clientele, consisting of small and large scale companies, weather the COVID storm, while continuing to expand and contribute to meaningful community outreach initiatives.
Vertical Market Development
With a strong push to bring its innovative pollution abatement technologies to the maturing biogas market, S&SE has been doubling down for the past few years to bring its Regenerative Thermal Oxidizers (RTOs), Direct-Fired Thermal Oxidizers (DFTOs), Multi-Stage Combustion Thermal Oxidizers, Scrubbers, and Removal Vessels to this market through a combination of education, marketing, and municipal cooperation. Biogas is well known for its ability to convert organic waste into energy, but the process entails the creation of carbon dioxide, methane, and other environmentally deleterious compounds. Realized revenue increased in this space across multiple projects, and S&SE expects 2022 to deliver even higher results as demand for abatement solutions continues to mount in sync with growing environmental, social, and governance (ESG) compliance throughout the energy sector.

‘It’s now or never’: World’s top climate scientists issue ultimatum on critical temperature limit
The fight to keep global heating under 1.5 degrees Celsius has reached “now or never” territory. The highly anticipated report, delayed slightly due to last-minute disputes over the exact wording of the document, says curbing global heating to 1.5 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels would require greenhouse gas emissions to peak before 2025 at the latest.
WHO says 99% of world's population breathes poor-quality air
The U.N. health agency says nearly everybody in the world breathes air that doesn’t meet its standards for air quality, calling for more action to reduce fossil-fuel use, which generates pollutants that cause respiratory and blood-flow problems and lead to millions of preventable deaths each year.
