Bring Your Lead Ropes Starting October 19th!

In an effort to reduce our environmental impact, starting October 19th, all lead ropes will need to be supplied by members and guests. Not only will this help Edgeworks reduce the number of ropes we burn through each year - about 50 - but it also helps to minimize risk of using ropes that are not supplied by, cared for and inspected by the climber.

Since opening our new walls last summer, we've gone through enough lead rope to go around our building nearly 5 times. We want to be better about our waste while also promoting member based inspection and use of their own ropes.

Ropes are still provided for our Climbing School programs.
AIARE Avalanche Training Courses

If you spend any time in the snow in the backcountry (ski, snowboard, snowshoe, climb, snowmobile) you should be taking an AIARE avalanche course. Our AIARE courses will teach you how to plan and prepare for travel in avalanche terrain and give you a framework for making decisions while navigating in the backcountry. You will also learn how to recognize avalanche terrain and practice effective companion rescue.

MONTHLY MEMBER SPOTLIGHT
Anna, Nick, Nolan and Olive Crosby

October's Member Spotlight is the Crosby Family! Anna and Nick come climb at Edgeworks on the regular with their kids Nolan and Olive. Give them a warm hello when you see them sending routes!
