1.Primecut+ Oscillating Saw 

• Stryker System 8 requires two oscillating saws if requiring a standard blade and a sheathed blade. 
• The Titan Primecut+ Oscillating Saw only requires one saw that accepts both standard blades and Primecut Cassettes. 

2. One-Step Sterilization

• Stryker System 8's batteries are not approved for the Washer-Sanitizer in the same tray with other instruments. They require blue wrap and are only approved for Immediate Use Sterilization i.e. flash clean with NO dry cycle. Handpieces only carry an IPX9 rating (shorter expected life span). 
• The Titan System allows sterilization of handpieces, attachments, and batteries in the same tray at the same time due to Tri​-Seal Technology and IPX 6, 8 and 9 ratings.

3. Weight and Ergonomics

• Stryker's System 8 lightest weight handpiece is their modular handpiece - without attachment = 2.3lbs
• All Hall Titan handpieces weigh from 9% to 16% lighter. Handpieces also have an ambidextrous collet that allows for single handed attachment changes.

4. Service and Repair Facility

• Stryker System 8 repairs and service will have to be sent back to the US Repair Facility. Some accounts charge a fee for loaner access after equipment is outside of standard warranty period (1 year).
• The Titan System can be serviced or repaired at the ONLY Canadian Orthopedic Service Repair facility in the industry with ISO​​ 13485 2016 certification with an option for access to free loaner handpieces that arrive within 24 hours.

5. Rapid Charging Charger and Batteries

• Stryker System 8 batteries have an average charge time of 35 minutes. An empty battery will take approx. 82 mins to fully charge.
• Titan's Lithium batteries have an average charge time of 12 minutes. An empty battery will take approx. 26 mins to fully charge.

6. Power

• The Stryker Modular Handpieces offers a maximum speed of 1,086 rpm.
• The Titan Modular Handpiece offers a maximum speed of 1,479 rpm.
• The Stryker Oscillating Saws offers a maximum speed range from 10,200 rpm to 12,100 rpm.
• The Titan Oscillating Saw offers a maximum speed range from 11,700 rpm to 15,000 rpm. 
• The Stryker Reciprocating Saw offers a maximum speed of 13,000 rpm
• The Titan Reciprocating Saw offers a maximum speed of 14,100 rpm.

1High torque when reaming

Stryker's lower speeds allows them to achieve higher torque when heavy reaming is required. If working in a Stryker account - remind your surgeon about our variable speed trigger to control his speed incrementally or consider using a 9.6V NiCad or NiMh battery vs. standard 13.2V Lithium Battery. 

2.Stiff Precision Cartridge Blades

Stryker's sheathed blade option is 50% stiffer than the Primecut Cassette. If your surgeon leverages heavily on his blade - review his technique to ensure he lets the blade do the work. Review the Titan MRD for information on the Primecut Cassettes that cut more accurately and efficiently than the Precision Cartridge.
