Clean Garbage at Farmers Market Bring Your Aluminum Cans!
We are Tremont residents who are passionate about recycling.
- Our mission is to create a grassroots, community-based, comprehensive recycling program here in our amazing Tremont neighborhood.
- Our plan is to implement recycling in a stepwise fashion, starting with aluminum collection.
- Our first presence in Tremont will be at the Farmers Market every Tuesday night, starting on August 4th, and continuing for the remainder of the season.
If you are committed to recycling, please visit our booth and drop off clean aluminum cans. And stay tuned for more information on drop off locations, residential collection, and expansion to glass, metal, paper, and plastic. Together, let's help save this planet! See you Tuesday!

OUR NEIGHBORHOOD VOTES/ NUESTRO VECINDARIO VOTA
YARD SIGNS
New nonpartisan Our Neighborhood Votes!/¡Nuestro Vecindario Vota! yard signs have arrived - one side in English and the other side in Spanish! There are 100 yard signs available in all - get yours while supplies last!
These yard signs are available to residents in Tremont (in Wards 3, 12 & 14 portions), Duck Island, and Irishtown Bend neighborhoods; the yard signs are sponsored by the nonpartisan Our Neighborhood Votes/Nuestro Vecindario Vota residents committee.
The Committee is encouraging a suggested donation of $10/sign to defray printing costs and to support the voter registration/voter engagement work of this grassroots committee of neighborhood residents.
These nonpartisan yard signs can be picked up at the Tremont West offices (fiscal agent for the committee) at 2406 Professor on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays by scheduled appointment (face coverings are required at the office for pick-up). Please contact Scott Rosenstein, Community Involvement Manager at Tremont West, at 216.575.0920 ext. 106 to schedule a yard sign pick-up time.
Signs may also be requested at the Our Neighborhood Votes booth at the Tremont Farmers Market on Tuesday, September 29th (face coverings also required for Market patrons and visitors), between 4:30pm and 7:00pm.
UPDATE: At all our voter registration/engagement events we wear face masks and practice COVID-safe procedures.

TEMPORARY ASSISTANCE FOR FAMILIES IN NEED
The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) has made available funds from Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) to provide assistance to families affected by COVID-19. This emergency assistance is designated to assist eligible families with essential needs during the current state of emergency.
Temporary funding through the Prevention, Retention, and Contingency (PRC) program will allow Cuyahoga Job and Family Services (CJFS) to provide emergency assistance to eligible families through a PRC voucher. While limited funding is available, COVID-19 PRC vouchers will provide assistance with additional food assistance, select essential supplies, and housing costs.
Please share the attached with your networks and assist your clients that are in need with applying for the COVID-19 PRC. Help us get the information into the community by posting the information on your social media and in community newsletters. Also, be mindful that the availability of the COVID-19 PRC is temporary and based on the quantity of applications received.
For questions about COVID-19 PRC vouchers call the PRC Information Line at (216) 987-7392 and leave a message. Please allow 48 hours for a response.

TREMONT WEST OFFICE COVID-19 POLICY UPDATE
Board Resolution passed 7.16.2020 - Due to the continued prevalence of COVID-19 (coronavirus) and emerging recommendations from health care providers and government agencies around best prevention measures and social distancing, Tremont West Development Corporation is hosting its Board of Directors meetings and all Tremont West Committee meetings on the Zoom platform until further notice. We urge all block clubs to consider doing the same and to work with Tremont West organizers to facilitate setting up Zoom meetings. Staff from Tremont West will continue to help facilitate meetings by assisting in creating the agenda, sending out postcards and providing materials. If block clubs host in-person meetings, we advise to host outdoors if at all possible while maintaining social distancing and face mask protocols.
Additionally, we will continue to ask that developers present plans to the block club and the Economic Development Committee. However, due to the City of Cleveland hosting their public review online, we do not believe we can successfully require in-person meetings. Tremont West will work with block club chairs to ensure that members have access to materials and can have a presentation provided. We remain committed to the review process we have worked to establish over many years.
