MA COVID-19 Paid Sick Leave Law Effective Date Change to May 28, 2021 and Employee Notice Released;
10 Day Tentative Delay Removed

June 11, 2021
Please note that earlier versions of the law provided for a ten-day delay between the statute becoming law and the effective date of the sick leave policy; however, the final version of the law took effect upon signing, on May 28.

The State released the mandatory COVID-19 Emergency Paid Sick Leave Notice that employers are required to post in a conspicuous location and provide a copy to all Massachusetts employees. It must also be sent by electronic communication or an electronic posting on a web-based platform to any employee who is teleworking.
