2021 Concert of Colors Lineup Announced

The 29th Annual Concert of Colors returns! The free global music festival will be a blend of live, broadcast and streamed events for eight days, Monday, August 2 through Monday, August 9. The concert will host musical guests from around the world, including Roy Ayers, Sound Massi, and acts from Chili, Haiti, Japan and Uganda. Learn more >

Against the Current | DFT @ Home

Against the Current, a 2021 Icelandic documentary, follows Veiga Grétarsdóttir, an Icelandic transgender woman who is the first person to attempt to kayak over 2,000 kilometers around Iceland, counter-clockwise and “against the current.” The film details her amazing 103-day journey around Iceland, with the magical, rugged coastline of the country as a backdrop to the story of Veiga’s transition. Learn more >

TATM: Studio Visit | For Seniors

Artist Kayla Powers will walk participants through the process of foraging local plants and share her process for making watercolor paints from them. Thursdays at the Museum (TATM) content is created for adults 55 and older in Macomb, Oakland and Wayne counties. Learn more >

Member Mornings
Wednesday mornings (9 a.m. to 12 p.m.) at the museum are now Member Mornings. DIA members will have the museum to themselves, including access to special exhibitions. Capacity limits and COVID protocols are in place to ensure safety.
