MASS OF THANKSGIVING DAY On Thursday, November 23 at 9:30am, we celebrate the Mass of Thanksgiving Day. This Mass is a beautiful Cathedral tradition. What better way to start our national day of Thanksgiving than by celebrating the Eucharist, which means “thanksgiving”? All are invited to bring non-perishable food items to share with for the poor.
ST. VINCENT DE PAUL COLLECTION This is the Third Sunday of the Month! As you leave the Cathedral, the ushers will be at the doors to receive any offering you are able to make in support of our St. Vincent de Paul Society outreach to the poor and needy in our downtown neighborhood. CATHEDRAL YOUTH PROCESSION: SUNDAY DECEMBER 3 AT NOON MASS All Children are invited to join the Noon Mass entrance procession. Please gather in the west vestibule before Mass begins. Parents are welcome to accompany their young children in this procession. After Mass, all families are invited to Cathedral Hall for snacks and social time.

COMMUNAL ANOINTING OF THE SICK On Friday, December 1 at 12:10pm Mass, Father Ryan will celebrate a special Mass for the Sick including the sacrament of the anointing of the sick. If you experience chronic physical or mental illness, are facing surgery, or are experiencing the weakness that comes with age, you are welcome to receive the Church’s sacrament of healing.
HODIE CHRISTUS NATUS EST! CONCERT A Medieval Celebration of the Nativity – Saturday, December 2 at 8:00pm. The Medieval Women's Choir and the Boston Camerata (Anne Azéma, Artistic Directror) come together for a glimpse of Christmas spirituality from Medieval France, Italy, England, and Provence, including music of the church and songs of private devotion around the joyous theme of the Nativity. Included are songs to the Virgin Mary, processionals from Saint Martial of Limoges, hymns, lyrics, and miracle ballads, sung in Latin, Old French, Old Provencal, Saxon, interlaced with Medieval English texts. ST VINCENT DE PAUL THANKS YOU An older man is grateful to have an apartment after many years of homelessness. Sadly, when the man was hospitalized, his wallet went missing and he lost the money within it to pay his rent. Anxious to retain his housing, this neighbor called the St Vincent de Paul Helpline requesting assistance. Thanks to your support, we were able to help with rent and ease his anxiety. CARE FOR CREATION NEWS COP 28, the United Nations’ conference on climate change, convenes in Dubai, November 30 to December 12. For the first time, an inventory of exactly where we stand in regard to keeping global temperatures to a 1.5 degree rise will be presented. Exactly how far off track are we and what do we need to do? Pope Francis will attend in early December and is expected to address the delegates. Let us pray that his message of good stewardship of God’s creation be heard and acted upon for the sake of all living things.

SACRAMENT OF CONFIRMATION FOR ADULTS Are you college age or older and in need of the Sacrament of Confirmation? Classes in preparation for Confirmation will be held on successive Tuesdays from 7 to 8:30pm, beginning on February 6, 2024, and running through April. The Sacrament will be celebrated on Sunday, April 28, 2024, at 5:30pm. Registration for the classes is necessary. Must be baptized in the Catholic Church and have received First Communion.
